Introduction To Microfluidics Patrick Tabeling Pdf Free ((FREE))

The last chapter is devoted to paper based systems for on-site detection of infectious diseases. This area has been gaining interest in the past few years. Traditional point-of-care (POC) diagnostics are based on specialized operators, laboratory settings and centralized diagnostic facilities. Paper microfluidic devices enable fast, easy and reliable POC diagnostics by reducing the volume of reagents, and increasing the number of analyses per day. In this chapter, we review the use of paper as a substrate for POC diagnostics such as immunoassay, microbiological techniques and NAAT. We also give an overview of the recent literature on paper-based POC diagnostics. The diagnostics of viral diseases is of particular interest in this context. The first chapter shows the application of paper microfluidics to surface-based anti-viral antibodies detection. The second chapter deals with the detection of Ebola virus. In the third chapter, we study the application of paper microfluidic devices to the detection of respiratory viruses (RSV, HRSV, HMPV, Adeno, Human Coronavirus, and Influenza virus). We also discuss the detection of Gastroenteritis viruses (Rotavirus, Norovirus, Sapovirus) and the real-time detection of Bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Listeria monocytogenes). All of these technologies involve nucleic acid amplification with the final result being the detection of the viral pathogen. In the last chapter, we review paper microfluidic systems that can detect bacteria at the molecular level through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or isothermal amplification of nucleic acids to identify bacteria based on specific sequences. The results show the interest of paper microfluidics to the detection of bacterial infections, in particular focusing on the advantages of this technology when compared to traditional methods.

ABCD premiered across India in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.[10] The film was released in the United States on 2 June 2013.[11][12] As per the Bollywood trade website Box Office India, with around 1.50 billion viewers,[13] the film grossed 45.11 million in its first week. 827ec27edc
